Across the road from Bob Folkins was the Joseph Folkins Property.  Some of the land was portioned to his sons, one of whom was Morris and Mary who built a new home in 1856.  Many have resided on this property as Heber and Annie Folkins and Fred Smith and Bertie (Folkins) Smith.  Fred and Bertie moved to Calgary in the spring of 1906 where Fred did carpentry work.  Family then moved to rented farm.  They moved in 1912 to farm of own near Springbank, Alberta.  Did farming and carpentry work.  Built many homes.  Bertie and Fred both died, being buried in Springbank.
