Resident of the Springbank district for the past 27 years, Mrs. Bertie Agnes Smith, 64 years of age, widow of the late Frederick Parker Smith, died in a local hospital Wednesday after a long illness. She was born in Sussex, N.B.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. H.M. Horricks, were held from the Springbank United church Friday afternoon, at 2 o'clock.
The late Mrs. Smith leaves a daughter, Florence; five sons, Heber, Rawleigh and Maurice, in Calgary, and Ernest and Arthur in Rocky Mountain House. A sister and four brothers also survive.
