At his home in Spring Bank, the death occurred on Tuesday, May 25, of Fred Parker Smith, aged 55 years. Mr. Smith, who is one of the old-timers in the Calgary-Spring Bank district, came west from New Brunswick, 21 years ago, and settled in Calgary, where he was engaged in the contracting business. In 1911 he moved to Spring Bank, where he took up farming and has remained up until the time of his death.
He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, five sons, Heber C., Ernest, Raleigh, Arthur, and Morris; one daughter, Florence; three brothers, Frank, of Boston; Harry, of Trail, B.C., and Archie.
